Blog 2 – Easily Does It…
After a very busy first half of 2023 and three very successful exhibitions already completed I’ve had a spell completing commissioned pieces. Now, it may only be July but the focus is already heavily on an exhibition which promises to be one of the biggest of my career to date this November at the new Leigh Lambert Gallery in Market Harborough. Ideas I have stored in an archive in my mind will hopefully come to life in the coming months. I have the images firmly in my mind which, in my opinion, is half the battle. The other half is translating the image onto canvas or wood in my case! I’ve received many compliments on my spitfire themed pieces over the years and huge calls to paint more I have been developing thoughts for a painting to rival 2014’s “Where Spitfires Dare” which will be a huge act to follow but one I’m confident I can achieve! Alongside this piece being developed on one easel will be other paintings inspired by music and family heritage as always with one eye on winter and Christmas inspired paintings too.
